- 1 C powdered sugar, 1 C margarine. Mix til light and fluffy.
- 1 t. vanilla, 1 egg, and to above and mix well.
- 2 c flour, 2 T poppy seeds 1/2 t salt. Stir in and mix well.
- Chill dough 15 minutes.
- Drop by spoonful on cookie sheet.
- Press thumb in cookie and put in cherry jam.
- Bake 300 degrees 20 to 25 minutes until edges are light brown.
- Remove from cookie sheet immediately.
