My Mom’s Banana Nut Bread recipe

If you have some gnarly bananas to use up, here’s how we did it growing up!

Banana Nut Bread

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 ½ t baking powder
  • 1 t salt
  • 3 T canola oil
  • ¾ c milk
  • 1 cup very ripe mashed bananas (about 3 medium sized)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts
  • Beat medium speed for only 30 seconds

Grease & flour a 9 x 5 x 3 pan

OR

2 smaller pans 8 ½ x 4 ½ x 2 ½

Pour mixture about ½ way filling the pan

Bake 350 degrees for 55 minutes until toothpick comes out clean
