Pam’s Chocolate Pecan Pie recipe

This is another recipe I received at one of my bridal showers.

Pam’s Chocolate Pecan Pie recipe

Pastry shell:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/8 t cream of tarter
  • Dash of salt
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ t vanilla
  • ½ cup sugar

Beat whites stiff, add tarter, salt & sugar.

Fold in pecans & vanilla.

Lightly butter pie tin & line it with above.

Bake at 300 for 55 minutes.

Cool.

Filling:

  • 1 large Hershey bar
  • 3 T water
  • 1 t vanilla
  • ½ pint whipping cream

Melt bar & water in double broiler.

Cool a few minutes & add vanilla.

Fold in whipped cream (pretty stiff).

Pour into pie shell & chill 24 hours.
