Christmas-time is a wonderful opportunity to try other people’s cookie recipes. This one comes from my aunt. She’s an awesome cook & baker, so you better believe these are awesome cookies!
Mint Chocolate-chocolate Chip Cookies
350 – 8-10”
340 – Convection 8-10”
1½ Cups Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar } Beat until fluffy
1½ Cups Butter – soften
3 Eggs } Add one at a time & beat
4 Cups Flour
1 Cup Cocoa unsweetened } mix dry ingredients together
1 tsp. Baking Soda } and add slowly to above
½ tsp. Salt
1½ Cups Chocolate Chips } add and stir in
Drop by scoop on pan with parchment paper, flatten slightly.
This freezes well.
Wrap well and freeze the dough, thaw and bake.
You can also roll into a cylinder and wrap and freeze or chill. Thaw and slice and bake.
York Peppermint patties } Freeze the mint candies. Form dough into a roll and refrigerate for 1 hour. Slice thin and wrap dough around candy and bake. Drizzle with mint flavored frosting (colored green if desired).
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
2 Tbs. Milk } Mix well & drizzle over cookies
½ tsp. Mint Flavor
