Help! We need some ideas for how to organize our baby’s closet, without investing in a permanent system that he/she will outgrow.
Right now, there’s one clothing rod about 5.5 feet off the ground for shirts.
I was thinking we should install another clothing rod 1/2 way down from that for pants – then use baskets and Tupperware to organize the rest.
After a quick Google search, I found this system at One Step Ahead:

My favorite part of the closet is this Monday-Friday clothing stack: Days of the Week Closet Organizer
( Maybe they make this for moms too?

You are so funny
I loved how I had lilly’s closet. Basically it was divided in half. The left half had 2 rods which was then divided by top row=current clothes (divided by size, then season then color… I’m anal).
The bottom rod had clothes that were too big for her.
The rods would easily be able to be like the ones you have up there. I got them at Home Depot. There was a wooden divider between the closet the previous people had so it was really easy to do what I did.
Then the right side was all shelving. So I had bins in all of them with blankets, books, older toys etc.
You will want to make sure to be able to move things around and make sure to get a dresser/changer where you keep onsies, burp cloths (a LOT of them), diapers and “necessities” (she has a bin under her changer that her necessities box has hair brushes, diaper cream, cotton balls (never used them!!), nail clippers, etc.
I would look into a container store style system because you can easily create a design and move it around as the baby grows
Hope that helps!!!
I love these! the days of the week system would be so useful once the child is in school. Makes me really wish Zachary’s room had a real closet and not just an armoire! Silly old houses!
