Once again I am challenging myself to 100 crunches a day in December.
I am generally a very joyful person, but without enough Vitamin D (i.e. sunshine), I find myself in an emotional slump… which can lead to me finding a “pick me up” with a cookie (or 4).
While I do things (like take extra vitamin D and exercise to create endorphins), it sometimes isn’t enough.
This article suggests using light therapy to help beat the winter blues… My dad’s mom, Nonna, used to have a full spectrum lamp & used it during the winter months. She especially used it more as she got older and couldn’t get outside as much.
