ph spectrum and juicing combo of the week

Years ago I gave up drinking soda.  But oddly enough, I crave Root Beer while pregnant.  I bought some Zevia Root Beer and soon after had a tummy ache.  Go figure!

Have you seen this pH spectrum chart floating around on Instagram or Pinterest? I believe the original author is http://www.mindbodygreen.com

It shows the very worst to the very best foods to ingest for your stomach’s pH balance:

The more acidic the food is, the more cancer-causing they are.

With this in mind, it’s best to choose foods from the right-side of the spectrum.  If you aren’t a fan of eating them, why not JUICE them!? 🙂

This weeks’s juicing combo was:

  • carrots
  • celery
  • apple
  • pear
  • spinach
  • kale
  • purple beets

The beets have an earthy flavor, so Little Dude didn’t finish his juice and I drank mine rather slowly.  I think I would still use the beets again but just use a lot LESS to sneak them in there.  Otherwise, it was a yummy combo with both spinach and kale (don’t always get to use both).
